Head Jewellery

I am obsessing over indian style head jewellery and hair pieces at the moment. I'm a sucker for turbans lately too, I love the way they look with long hair. After working at a Bollywood themed wedding, I fell in love with the Indian saris and beautiful over the top accessories! The colours and flowers are so inspiring:

I've had my eye on this head piece from River Island for a while, although I really would love a silver one to wear on New Year's Eve, to match my Litas with silver spikes. I'm on the hunt for one but unfortunately most of the ones on eBay are from India, therefore need to be ordered about a month in advance :(
Isn't it beautiful? Not so sure on the £20 price tag though... but I haven't seen any others like this - I love it so much i'm contemplating just buying it and painting it silver!

Here's a bit of inspiration...

I saw this simple hair piece on eBay, though it looks extremely simple to DIY from an old belt or necklace!

I'm going shopping tomorrow, so if I can't find one I like, I think i'll buy a few necklaces from Primark and make my own. On the top of my list is a dress for NYE though!

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Wishlist

Thought i'd share with you the things i've asked for for Christmas. There's nothing I really need when it comes to a main expensive gift, like a laptop or camera, so I only really want clothes and shoes!

Clockwise from left...
1. Topshop dalmatian print fur coat
2. MAC gift card
3. JC Lita Spike in white
4. River Island Versace-esque skinny jeans
5. Black Milk galaxies
6. Underground Creepers in pink
7. American Apparel disco shorts
8. A new leather jacket (with fur)
9. Topshop tutu
10. River Island metallic crop top

Just finished putting the Christmas decorations up, my house looks so cute and festive!

Glittery Goth

I have noticed lately my style is definitely heading towards the grunge/goth look. Which I love, so it's a good thing. I took this photo today for Lookbook... and can I just ask WHY it is soo hard to get hypes on Lookbook? I've uploaded 4 photos now and the most hypes one has is 5, and the rest only have 1... so please do me a favour and hype my looks (if you like them!).

Anyway I made this leopard print cross t-shirt myself - inspired by one exactly the same from Urban Outfitters which costs a disgusting £28! Mine cost me about £2 overall to make. You can read my tutorial here if you want to make your own!

The skirt I bought at a car boot sale from a little old granny, who said she used to go dancing in it when she was my age. How cute is that?! It's chiffon, pleated, and a good length to wear with heels - perfect! My hat is from Primark for £5, which I thought was quite expensive for Primark! They are definitely getting more expensive lately.

The bootsales are back!

Getting used to getting up at 6.30am every Sunday morning to go to the bootsale - because you gotta be early to get all the good stuff! Went this morning to my local one and got SO much amazing stuff - lots of Topshop, All Saints, clothes for me, clothes to sell, a gorg new coat and a vintage leather jacket, all for silly prices like 50p each!

River Island mesh vest with studs, £1
Hollister cardigan & jumper 50p each, Abercrombie jumper £1
Zara & All Saints tops, about 50p each
 Various tops, about 50p each
Zara playsuit, maxi dress & stripey dress, Mexx cardigan, about 50p each
 Topshop coat, LOVE THIS! £3
Levi's to cut into shorts, £1.50
 Reiss cardigan, £2
 Topshop zip dress, £1
Vintage leather jacket, about 50p in a bundle of things.
Elle Macpherson babydoll, also in a bundle, about 50p
Various vintage badges and things, £2
Zara blouse, Juicy Couture shirt dress, topshop top, 50p each
And these came in the post a couple of days ago, the cutest vintage leather shorts. £13.50, Ebay.

I'm so happy with my bits! And my new wardrobe arrives tomorrow (my second one!) so I can't wait to get organised, clear out my wardrobe and sort through everything, sell lots of things and tidy it all up.
