GRAN CANARIA - #GCModaCalida

As you probably know (as i've been babbling on about it and Instagramming) I am home from a press trip to Gran Canaria for the Moda Calida swimwear fashion shows. I went with Fabric PR and boy were we spoilt! This kind of thing is all new to me, and I was with a group who all work in the fashion industry, so it was a big insight into what it's like to work in fashion (kind of scary too!) On our first full day we were taken on a tour of the island and treated to lunch in the mountains, then stopped off at various other little cute villages. I don't think I could ever live there, too hot for a start, not to mention being in the middle of nowhere! But the little towns were SO cute, it's crazy to see how some people live so differently to us. I've only been to Gran Canaria once before, about 10 years ago, but it's lovely to see what life really is like here outside of the tourist areas.

After a morning of sightseeing we headed to the beautiful Amadores Beach Club (which felt like it should be in Marbella) and were greeted with champagne (which seemed to be never ending, I definitely took full advantage!). By this time we were hungry again and out came the canapés - (and i'm always that girl at parties/events - always the one standing at the food table all night, stuffing my face). I wished so badly that I bought my bikini because we were given a private pool area which I was dying to jump into, even though all the other fashion peeps were standing chatting, sipping champers, yes i'd be that girl too.
