Slowly but surely working my way through all the outfit photos I have taken over the summer... this one from Secret Garden Party festival, featuring my new favourite dress, a bargain (kinda) UNIF rainbow crochet number I hunted down on Depop. You all know I usually don't pay more than £5 for an item of clothing but I could not pass up this beaut! It was so hard not to wear it before I went but i'm so glad I saved it for my ultimate SGP outfit.
So basically, Secret Garden Party was the best long weekend of my LIFE! So so so much fun. Everything was super fabulous, trippy, weird and wonderful and full of surprises. I spent it with some of my best friends and my boyfriend and his friends, so it was just the best crowd! Whilst it is not about the music, I got to see my current favourite band Clean Bandit live, who were absolutely incredible. If you haven't listened to their debut album "New Eyes", you MUST! A mixture of classical, pop, house, a bit of drum and bass and everything inbetween, with some crazy talented singers featured on every track. LOVE!
One of the highlights for me was the secret sunflower field, accessed only through the secret portaloo tunnel - so you had to know about it to find it because it was completely hidden otherwise! We seemed to end up in the secret sunflower field most nights and it was just the weirdest, trippiest experience, haha. The festival was covered in cool art installations, and was so much more than just music. It was the hottest weekend of the year too which made it even better (even though I got sun stroke and fainted LOL).
I cannot wait to book my ticket for SGP 2015. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't like the usual annoying festival crowd. It was full of cool people, no chavs or idiots. Yay! It was my first time festival camping too, and although our tiny tent was a complete fail, I still had the time of my life (but i'll definitely be luxury camping next year).
