I was suuuuper excited to attend a little event alongside 4 other beautiful bloggers (or major girl crushes) with Motel Rocks, one of my all time favourite labels. We talked all things #MotelVintage, their sister label which, as a vintage lover, is totally up my street. As soon as I walked in to the showroom I knew this sunflower dress had to be mine!
A little bit about Motel Vintage... "a brand new collection of fresh threads inspired by cult trends, created from original vintage farms. As the sister label to kick-ass indie fashion brand Motel, Motel Vintage offers one of a kind styles that have been lovingly reworked for a new generation of style seekers. Born in Britain and sourced worldwide, the Motel Vintage team scours the globe visiting independent thrift stores and flea markets for the hottest original finds that are deconstructed and re-worked into new silhouettes."
"Taking inspiration from 90's grunge, 80's music culture and Japanese street style, the Motel Vintage collection is a mash-up of achingly cool styles created for girls who want to stand out from the crowd. Offering print-led dresses and crop tops, vintage denim skirts, original worn in band tees and super soft leather mini skirts all created from clothes that had a history of their own. Constantly evolving and unpredictable, Motel Vintage is a must have for any independent fashion lover who wants to keep the love alive!"
The lovely Motel girls treated us to cocktails and food in our very own Thai inspired tiki hut (their most recent vintage buying trip was in Thailand) at the amazing Grand Union Brixton. Filled with treats, games and all things Instagram-able, I had the most wonderful evening accompanied by these beauts: Sarah Ashcroft, Yasmine Chanel, Megan Ellaby and Daniella Christina - all lovely girls who's blogs you must check out!
Thank you so much Motel! I actually love you.
