70p outfit?!?!

CROP TOP: Jumble sale, 20p
WOOL SKIRT: Jumble sale, 20p
CHANEL BELT: Car boot sale, 30p
COAT: Zara, £30ish (ooooold)
BOOTS: Jeffrey Campbell via eBay, £115
EARRINGS: Primark, £1
FUR STOLE: H&M via Car boot sale, 30p
BAG: eBay, £12
OTHER BELT: Charity shop, 50p

If we just count the top, skirt and belt, this is probably my thriftiest outfit yet! These are a couple of the bits I got from the jumble sale last week, I told you I did well! I have been looking for an olive coloured lace crop top after seeing one on Steph from The Fashion Citizen, and I only went and found one whilst scavenging through piles of smelly old clothes at the jumble sale. I died when I saw it, and paired with my jumble sale wool skirt (which is a very vintage Charlotte Halton for River Island) I think it works really well for the heritage trend which is around right now.

I had to go into London on Friday to visit a few posh shops for my uni project, so I wanted to dress a bit more "I have lots of money" (by wearing 20p clothes). And by posh I mean completely empty with about 7 shop assistants all following you around, watching what you are doing, and making me feel bad for not spending thousands and leaving empty handed! They really do know how to make you feel uncomfortable, and it actually angers me quite a lot. Giving me dirty looks, watching my every move like I am planning on stealing something, probably thinking "why is she in here, she couldn't afford anything". For one, if I was going to steal something would I really go to one of the poshest parts of London to a tiny boutique full of staff, a security guard on the door, with every item in there covered in about 3 security tags. ERM, no. For all they know I could be absolutely loaded, or have my rich daddy's credit card (I don't have a rich daddy), but WHAT IF. I'd love to go back there one day when i'm rich (one day!), dressed like a tramp, and go and splurge on a few thousand pounds worth of clothes, that'll teach them!!

Anyway, enough ranting - I need to tidy my room. It's getting dangerous in here.

p.s. I am wearing a bra, it's just nude coloured. Ha.

Amazing finds - this is an awesome outfit! I know what you mean, I get so annoyed with pissy assistants - the snobby ones and the pretentious hipster ones who look you up and down! Why can't people just be nice?! x

You never fail to be thrifty! I can't stand shopping experiences like that.. I just remind myself that just because they work there, doesn't mean they have a lot of money themselves. I remember a girl from a snobby shop asked me what label my shirt was. The look on her face when I told her it was from an op shop! xx

I actually can not believe what you have put together it is actually amazing and well thought out to be honest and I know I would never be able to put something together like this. it just goes to show that if you really take the time and effort to look around charity shops and car boot sales like yourself you can actually put together a really cool out which looks so expensive on you and for such a little price. I am really trying to take a closer look into charity shops and see what they have to offer as you are a main example when I say you can find some good things at an afordable price. xoxox
