Soooooo excited!

KENZO JUMPER: eBay, £23
QUILTED LEATHER JACKET: c/o Mary Jane Fashion
LACE FLARES: c/o Plndr
TANK DRESS: American Apparel via ASOS, £10.50 (sale)
GOLD NECKLACE: Car boot sale, 50p
CREEPERS: New Look, £24.99
LIPSTICK: Collection 2000 8 Cherry Pop, £2.49

I'm sure you've all seen the beautiful tiger sweater by Kenzo floating around the blogosphere... You're looking at upwards of £150 for the real thing, but they sold out so fast and of course they are now going for £300-£500 on eBay! Insane. But Lucy saves the day and as always, a few fakes have popped up on eBay for prices that us poor people can actually justify. This green one is nearly identical to the real thing and is suprisingly really great quality! There are quite a few different colours on eBay at the moment, check out these: green or black/yellow/red speckle. Go go go before they're all gone! You can thank me now :)

In other news, ME AND MY BOYFRIEND MOVE IN TO OUR FIRST HOME TOMORROW! Officially it is his house but of course i'll be there all the time, cooking, cleaning, and being the perfect little house wife ;) We are sooo excited and i'm extremely happy for him, he has worked so hard at his new job and it's finally paying off, he will have a cute little home to call his own. He has been spending hundreds on homeware, who knew you needed SO much stuff to start a new home?! So many things we didn't even think about, like a toaster, utensils, a hoover, dishwasher tablets, a mop and bucket! He wants it all perfect straight away and there's no talking him out of it, so everything is piled up in my living room (he lives with me and my parents at the moment) waiting to be taken there tomorrow.

I plan to start doing home interior posts, I LOVE reading other home-y blogs and I can finally use all those little ideas i've been pinning on my "Home Interior" board on Pinterest ;). This weekend we plan to decorate the living room (it's bright pink?! WHY) and disinfect and clean EVERYTHING AND EVERYWHERE (i'm a bit OCD with other people's germs... bleach bleach bleach kill every little bacteria!). We can't really get settled until next week, as the Sky man doesn't come till Monday to install TV/phone/internet, and our gorgeous sofa doesn't arrive til Wednesday! So for now I don't know where we're gonna sit. But I am so excited I could scream!

We're off to Ikea now with a van, to buy our bed and a few other pieces of furniiii. (Does the word "furni" remind anyone else of Habbo Hotel? LOL miss that even though I spent hundreds of pounds on it).

Loveyoubye

Hey love,

I run a fashion law blog, and, like you, I would love to be able to afford a Kenzo sweater, but I think it's important that people know what the cons of buying fake clothes are. Don't get me wrong, this is not an attack on you at all, I just want to alert you to how buying fake goods has many bad consequences.

Most people think that it's just the original designer or brand that sufferes, but buying fake goods isn't as harmless as most people think. By buying fake goods, it's more than likely that you are funding serious organised crime such as people-smuggling, prostitution, drug trafficking and sometimes even terroris.

As well as this, fake goods are made by children in factories who are paid a pittance, have no labour rights and work ridiculously long hours. People buying fake goods increases the demand for them, meaning that more sweatshops are opened in order to meet this demand.

It has also been found that fake goods often contain a dangerously high level of a chemical called formaldehyde. Although it is normally used in low quantities to give clothes a permanent pressed effect, in higher quantities it can cause eye and nasal irritation, respiratory problems and cancer.

As if all that wasn't enough, fake goods also damage the economy. They are often smuggled in to the country and therefore import taxes and VAT are not paid on the items.

I absolutely love your blog and your style, but I would urge you to take in to consideration the consequences of buying fake goods yourself, and encouraging your readers to buy them too.

Much love, Bemsy x

Eeee so excited for you lovely, good luck with settling in etc. I'm in the process of renovating the house I bought last November, never realised how much money it would swallow up and I've not started with furniture yet. But it's exciting like you said about taking all the interior inspiration you've seen and being able to put different ideas into your own home :)

Congrats lovely and enjoy living together!
